Cantiere delle Marche (CdM), the renowned Ancona-based shipyard, has officially launched the first unit of its RJ155 series. Measuring 46.71 meters, this explorer yacht is the largest ever constructed by the shipyard and has been christened RJ.
The vessel was commissioned by a returning client, who previously owned the RJ130 model. Impressed by the performance and comfort of the earlier yacht, the owner opted for a larger, more advanced version to better suit evolving needs. Ennio Cecchini, President and co-founder of CdM, expressed excitement over the project: “We’re thrilled with the RJ line’s appeal and honoured that a returning client has entrusted us with such a significant project.”
The RJ155 features naval architecture by Pierluigi Ausonio, with a sleek exterior designed by Francesco Paszkowski. The yacht’s bespoke interiors are crafted by acclaimed designer Achille Salvagni. Paszkowski describes the yacht’s silhouette as flowing lines that evoke “motion and energy,” blending horizontal and angled shapes with softly rounded edges.
Salvagni added, “In the RJ155 we fused ocean-going performance with refined interior artistry. Commissioned by cultured owners, the yacht becomes a narrative of elegance, intellect and emotion. Eschewing marine clichés, its sculptural spaces evoke serenity and character. RJ155 is not just a yacht—it’s a soulful floating home.”
The yacht accommodates 12 guests in five luxurious staterooms spread over three decks, including an owner’s suite with a private gym. Paszkowski’s design emphasizes a seamless indoor-outdoor connection, enhanced by extended overhangs that create shaded terraces.
Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the RJ155 offers long-range capabilities and is equipped with premium features. Notable highlights include spacious outdoor areas, a sundeck for relaxation, dedicated tender storage, and a large lazarette for water toys and equipment.
Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, the yacht achieves a cruising speed of 12 knots and can reach a top speed of 15 knots, combining robust performance with luxurious comfort.
