Since her 2019 debut, the Lürssen-built superyacht has topped global charts for size and opulence, but that is set to change with the upcoming launch of the 194.9-metre REV OCEAN, currently in final outfitting and scheduled for delivery in 2027.
FLYING FOX made headlines not only for her scale but also for her involvement in international sanctions. Tied to Imperial Yachts, she was listed as “blocked property” by the U.S. Department of the Treasury in June 2022. The restrictions resulted in a phased return to charter service starting January 2024, initially limiting bookings to UK and EU clients.
Now fully re-integrated into the global charter market, FLYING FOX is once again exploring top-tier destinations such as the Maldives, Seychelles, and Malaysia. The yacht continues to attract ultra-high-net-worth clientele with her unmatched luxury, despite her soon-to-be-overthrown status.
FLYING FOX holds several accolades, including Best Displacement Motor Yacht over 2,000 GT at the 2020 World Superyacht Awards, and Best Charter Yacht at the Robb Report Best of the Best Awards the same year. She also ranks 19th in the YB100 listing of the world’s largest yachts, just behind the 135.61-metre superyacht CRESCENT.
As one of the most expensive yachts for charter, FLYING FOX shares elite status with other megayachts like the 126.2-metre OCTOPUS and 122-metre KISMET. Her array of luxury amenities includes expansive sun decks, a large swimming pool, a deck Jacuzzi, a beach club, and dual helipads—ensuring seamless transitions between sea and sky for her guests.
Designed for both family and corporate charters, FLYING FOX continues to set a high standard for service and onboard experiences. Though REV OCEAN will soon take her place as the largest, FLYING FOX remains a symbol of world-class superyacht engineering and enduring charter prestige.
