CRN’s 70-meter fully custom superyacht, Project Thunderball, has reached an advanced stage of construction at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Division shipyard. The steel and aluminum displacement yacht, set for delivery in 2026, has successfully completed its hull and superstructure carpentry work.
The yacht’s design features a classic elongated bow optimized for cruising efficiency. Vripack Yacht Design is responsible for exterior styling and preliminary naval architecture, while Nauta Design has crafted the elegant interiors. The five-deck layout provides accommodation for 12 guests and 15 crew members, spread across 1,100 gross tons of interior volume.
Current construction milestones include the scheduled completion of exterior fairing by summer 2025 and the start of full hull painting in September 2025. Additionally, main deck insulation and compartmentalization have been finalized, with initial furniture installations planned for late spring to early summer.
Y.CO acts as the owner’s representative, managing construction quality and technical coordination between CRN and specialized contractors. The yacht will be powered by MAN V12 engines delivering 1,213 kW each, enabling a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.
The vessel incorporates advanced technical systems such as energy recovery solutions and peak shaving technology to minimize fuel consumption. An optimized power management system allows for a silent mode operation while at anchor, enhancing onboard comfort.

Construction remains on schedule, with VIP cabin installations planned for June and July 2025. Final outfitting will continue throughout 2026, followed by sea trials before the yacht’s delivery.
