The 60-meter Benetti motor yacht Formosa has rejoined the brokerage market through an exclusive sales listing with Stuart Larsen of Fraser. Originally delivered in 2015, the yacht was built in steel and aluminum based on an in-house design by the renowned Italian shipyard.
Boasting a spacious interior crafted by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, Formosa is noted for blending Italian craftsmanship with Dutch design elements, all while incorporating a distinctive “Asian-inspired elegance,” according to her brokers. The yacht underwent a significant refit in 2025, which included the completion of her 10-year ABS survey.
The yacht’s name, Formosa, derives from the term “beautiful” used by Portuguese sailors to describe Taiwan upon its discovery. This influence permeates the vessel’s design, which features oriental themes across her five decks. Sinot’s design emphasizes harmony, balance, meticulous craftsmanship, and the use of natural materials throughout.
Formosa can accommodate up to 13 guests in seven luxurious cabins, each with its own en suite. The highlight of the yacht is the owner’s apartment, which spans the entire upper deck. At 70 square meters, the suite includes an office, a dressing room, a bathroom with a traditional wooden bathtub, and a private sheltered deck with seating on the foredeck.
Guest accommodations on the main deck include two VIP suites located forward, while the lower deck offers two doubles and a twin with a Pullman berth. A private TV area is conveniently located near the VIP staterooms. A glass and bronze lift, surrounded by a circular staircase, ensures easy access between decks. The yacht also offers crew quarters for 16.
With an impressive volume of 1,089 GT and a broad 10.4-meter beam, Formosa offers both luxury and comfort. The interior features a neutral color palette complemented by light and exotic woods, marbles, and natural stones, accented by gold, leather, and beaten bronze detailing.
The main deck saloon offers a spacious lounge and formal dining area, while the upper deck sky lounge provides the perfect setting for relaxation, equipped with a state-of-the-art sound system and a cinema featuring a five-by-two-meter screen.
The sundeck is designed for outdoor living, featuring a large whirlpool, bar, barbecue, sun loungers, and a touch-and-go helipad. The top deck provides a quieter space for relaxation, while al fresco dining is available on the shaded aft deck or on the owner’s private deck.
A 26-square-meter fold-down swim platform and a tender garage capable of housing two tenders and numerous water toys complete the yacht’s impressive features.
Powered by twin 1,850hp MTU diesel engines, Formosa has a top speed of 16 knots, a cruising speed of 14 knots, and a range of 5,000 nautical miles, offering a perfect balance of performance and luxury.
