The Al Lusail, one of the largest superyachts ever constructed, currently rests off the coast of Andratx, Mallorca. Stretching longer than a football field, the vessel combines extraordinary size with the luxury of a floating palace. Owned by the Emir of Qatar, the yacht has drawn considerable attention alongside the Emir’s private Boeing 747 jumbo jet, famously dubbed the “flying palace,” which he notably gifted to former U.S. President Donald Trump.
Both the Al Lusail and the Boeing 747 have recently visited Mallorca. The Emir himself flew to the island aboard the jumbo jet several years ago, while the superyacht arrived at Port Andratx on Wednesday.
Built in 2017 by the prestigious German shipbuilder Lürssen, the Al Lusail has gained widespread acclaim for its immense scale and luxurious design. The yacht’s exterior was crafted by London-based H2 Yacht Design, which is responsible for its sleek, all-white appearance and expansive tinted windows spanning multiple decks.
Among its many features, the Al Lusail boasts a vast outdoor deck that includes a beach club area complete with an extendable swimming platform and barbecue pits. It also features a large helipad for seamless aerial access. The yacht’s versatility is further enhanced by a 30-foot garage that houses two limousine tenders and a D-RIB boat, providing alternative options for travel and excursions.
