In a private debut at St Katharine Docks, Oyster Yachts unveiled its latest innovation, the Oyster 805, setting a bold new benchmark in luxury bluewater sailing. This 80-foot cruiser, the newest addition to the acclaimed British yacht builder’s fleet, exemplifies Oyster’s signature blend of craftsmanship, technology, and ocean-crossing capability.
Handcrafted in the UK and developed in partnership with renowned naval architects Humphreys Yacht Design, the Oyster 805 was engineered for long-range voyages, combining superyacht styling with rugged performance. The model slots between the Oyster 745 and 885 Series II, offering a new tier of sailing luxury for discerning owners.
“Oyster 805 is the yacht I dreamed of when I took the helm at Oyster,” said Richard Hadida, Owner and Chairman of Oyster Yachts. “She’s striking, luxurious, and built to take you anywhere. I’m proud of what she represents — the next generation of Oyster.”
With a 23.95-meter hull and a 6.35-meter beam, the yacht features expansive hull windows, an optimized interior layout, and a host of elevated design details. Each hull is built to order, allowing full customization — from private offices to additional guest suites and day bars — reflecting the company’s bespoke approach to yacht ownership.
The vessel is equipped with a Cummins B4.5 250 turbocharged main engine and a sail area of 345.75 square meters, ensuring robust performance whether under sail or power. A fuel capacity of 2,750 liters supports extended bluewater cruising.
The launch of the Oyster 805 comes at a high point for the company, following a record sales year in 2024–2025 and the recent appointment of former Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös as Strategic Advisor.
Further expanding its luxury sailing ecosystem, Oyster introduced two new initiatives: the Explorers Club, a curated series of global expeditions inspired by the Oyster World Rally, and the Bluewater Academy, an immersive training program designed to equip sailors of all experience levels with the confidence and skills for offshore cruising.
Together, the Oyster 805, the Explorers Club, and the Bluewater Academy reflect a strategic evolution for the brand — one rooted in heritage, driven by innovation, and dedicated to delivering a truly transformative ownership experience.
As Oyster Yachts continues to chart new waters in design and adventure, the 805 stands as a symbol of the brand’s enduring mission: to craft ocean-ready yachts that marry luxury with longevity.
