Oceanwalker S60e: Silent Solar Yacht Changing Cruising

by Alisa

Before most yachts even stir, the Oceanwalker S60e is already gliding silently across the bay. Equipped with solar panels soaking up the early sun and twin electric motors humming softly, this 60-foot catamaran is redefining the yachting experience.

Introduced by Revolution Marine Group, the Oceanwalker S60e is a solar-electric catamaran designed to transform both how and why we cruise. Combining the luxury expected of a modern motor yacht with zero noise, emissions, or environmental guilt, it offers a new benchmark in sustainable boating.

While typical yacht launches tout sleekness and power, the Oceanwalker S60e brings fresh attributes to the forefront: silent, sustainable, and solar-powered. Its twin 200 HP (150 kW) electric motors enable near-silent cruising at speeds up to 12 knots, with an ideal range of 7 to 8 knots for peak efficiency.

A robust 10 kW solar array feeds a cutting-edge lithium phosphate battery system, allowing the yacht to operate comfortably at anchor—with air conditioning and electric cooking fully powered—without using a drop of fuel. For longer journeys, backup diesel generators (two 45 kW units) extend the range to approximately 800 nautical miles, perfect for island hopping or escaping to remote destinations.

Luxury Meets Sustainability

What sets the S60e apart is its commitment to luxury alongside eco-friendly innovation. This vessel isn’t a floating experiment; it’s a sunlit retreat boasting plush interiors, sophisticated finishes, and smart systems designed for clean, quiet operation.

Edward Sacks, CEO of Revolution Marine Group, emphasizes their dedication to innovation: “We continue to focus on staying ahead of the market when it comes to new and innovative technologies.” Built under close supervision at the Fujian Sky Walker shipyard in Zhangzhou, China, the S60e stands as a bold statement that the future of yachting can be both elegant and responsible.

The first Oceanwalker S60e has already been sold, with delivery scheduled for April 2026. It will join Club Ki’ama Bahamas, a private island retreat near Elizabeth Island, where sustainable luxury is the norm.

John Long, Managing Partner at Club Ki’ama, shares the vision: “Imagine the enjoyment our Club owners will experience combining a stay in their beachfront Club home with an amazing yacht cruise in the Exumas.” The excitement is palpable, and interest is growing.

Looking Ahead

Set to make a splash upon its 2026 launch, the Oceanwalker S60e signals the start of a new era for Revolution Marine Group. Rumors of a larger model already circulate, proving that quiet innovation and bold design are propelling the company forward—offering a glimpse into the future of responsible yachting.
