Newport Charter Yacht Show Returns with 18 Luxury Vessels

The Northeast’s premier luxury yacht trade event is making waves again as the 2025 Newport Charter Yacht Show returns to Safe Harbor Newport Shipyard from June 23 to 27, welcoming 18 high-end vessels for four days of networking, showings, and innovation in yacht charters.

Uniquely focused on charter experiences in New England and beyond, the event serves as a boutique alternative to large-scale international expos, fostering more meaningful connections between charter brokers, agents, crews, and yacht owners.

“This show offers a more relaxed and personal atmosphere,” noted Sarah Egger, charter manager at Fraser Yachts. “Brokers aren’t rushing from yacht to yacht. They can take time to understand each vessel’s offerings and meet the crew.”

Fraser is presenting two motor yachts this year, headlined by Lady B, the largest in the show at 170 feet. Originally bound for the Mediterranean, she opted to stay stateside this summer. With five spacious staterooms, a beach club, outdoor cinema, elevator, and a 53-foot tender powered by five 450-hp engines, Lady B is positioned as a standout attraction.

Also on display from Fraser is the 110-foot In the Zone, while rival brokerage Edmiston is bringing the 169-foot ACTA, praised by broker Holly Huffstetler for its “magical master cabin” and top-tier crew led by a veteran charter captain.

While motor yachts dominate the spotlight, sailing yachts are quietly gaining momentum. Nicholson Yachts is showcasing three sailing vessels, including the newly launched 68-foot Cirrus and the 59-foot Tyche, both entering the charter market for the first time.

“Sailing charters are experiencing a strong resurgence post-pandemic,” said Karen Kelly Shea of Nicholson Yachts. “New England offers ideal summer sailing, and we’re seeing motor yachts serve as support vessels for regattas more frequently.”

The show offers a packed agenda for industry professionals, including educational seminars, dockside yacht tours, and networking events. Highlights include:

  • AYCA Breakfast aboard the 85’ Lexington on Tuesday, June 24
  • Thursday’s seminar series, covering topics such as cybersecurity, charter management software, and emerging destinations

A signature aspect of the event is its spirited crew competitions, celebrating talent in onboard hospitality and operations. Events include:

  • CYBA Designer Water Contest
  • Best Charter Yacht Chef
  • Tablescaping Challenge
  • Yacht Hop, where one vessel will be crowned “Best Party Yacht” in tribute to the late Herman Pundt

The week concludes with the 12th Annual Newport Yacht Rendezvous on Friday, June 27, where several yachts will remain on-site for an exclusive charity evening benefitting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County. Guests will enjoy cocktails, dinner, dancing, and yacht hopping—all supporting local youth programs.

In addition to industry-only access, the show opens part of its grounds to the public. From June 24 to 26, an outdoor vendor area near Belle’s Café will welcome visitors from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring marine and lifestyle brands such as AERE Marine Group, Newport Yacht Interiors, CUTCO, and Vitamin Sea Co.

“This show isn’t just about showcasing yachts,” said Show Director Veronica Brown. “It’s about innovation, connection, and setting the stage for a successful charter season in New England and beyond.”

As the 2025 season heats up, the Newport Charter Yacht Show remains a cornerstone of the U.S. yachting calendar, blending luxury, professionalism, and regional pride into a one-of-a-kind industry event.
