The 60-metre superyacht Memories has officially departed Damen Yachting’s shipyard in Vlissingen, marking the successful final delivery of the latest Amels 60 model to its new Owner. The vessel was christened in a private naming ceremony attended by the Owner’s representatives and crew.
Designed by renowned naval architect Espen Øino International, Memories showcases the signature angular window geometry and sharp, modern lines characteristic of the Amels Limited Editions series. This delivery is particularly notable for being the first Amels 60 to feature a fully customized interior by British design studio Harrison Eidsgaard—signaling a new creative partnership for Damen Yachting.
The Owner, represented by brokerage firm Moran Yacht & Ship, joined the project only six months prior to completion. Despite the late engagement, several bespoke design elements were successfully implemented before launch. Among the personalized upgrades were a redesigned Beach Club, custom Owner’s suite, and an entirely reimagined Sun Deck featuring a spacious sofa area and ceiling-mounted television in place of the original bar and dining setup. The Bridge Deck Aft was also transformed into an open-air cinema lounge.
“When the Owner stepped in, we were already in the advanced construction phase,” said Joppe Osté, Project Manager for Memories. “That allowed for quick decisions and ensured the yacht was ready for summer cruising. We build with flexibility in mind so clients can step in at any stage.”
Harrison Eidsgaard’s custom interior brings a contemporary beach house aesthetic to the yacht, blending natural materials with sophisticated finishes. A standout design element is a spiral staircase with an illuminated handrail—both a functional centerpiece and an artistic focal point of the yacht.
“Working on Memories was a true pleasure,” said Ben Harrison, co-founder of Harrison Eidsgaard. “This project marks our first interior for an Amels Limited Editions yacht, and we’re proud to contribute a fresh interpretation to such a proven platform.”
The 853 GT yacht accommodates 12 guests across multiple staterooms, with provisions for 12 crew members plus the Captain. Naval architecture was completed in-house by Damen Yachting, complementing Øino’s sharp exterior work and Eidsgaard’s refined interior scheme.
Memories* is slated for both private and charter use, with its debut voyage planned for Ibiza. Charter bookings will be managed by Moran Yacht & Ship.
Meanwhile, Damen Yachting has confirmed that the next Amels 60 is currently in build and scheduled for delivery in Autumn 2025.
