Alblasserdam, Netherlands — Dutch yacht builder Oceanco has officially launched its latest superyacht, the 111-metre Y726. The vessel, one of the largest by volume ever built at the shipyard, is now preparing for sea trials. Delivery is expected later this year.
Commissioned in 2022 by a returning client with extensive yachting experience, Y726 features a beam of 16 metres and an impressive gross tonnage of 4,550GT. The yacht was built at Oceanco’s facility in Alblasserdam.
The sleek exterior was designed by renowned yacht designer Espen Øino. Inside, the yacht boasts a refined, family-oriented interior by Mark Berryman. Lateral Naval Architects worked alongside Oceanco’s in-house team and the owner’s representative, Dan Jackson of Falcon Yacht Management, to develop the naval architecture.
Y726 offers accommodation for up to 28 guests and 34 crew members. Its standout leisure amenities include a cinema lounge, fully-equipped gym, and a spa featuring both a sauna and a steam room.
The deck spaces are designed for both relaxation and entertainment. Highlights include a winter garden, covered cocktail lounge, an outdoor cinema, and a private owner’s area with its own Jacuzzi. A versatile entertainment area features an additional Jacuzzi and a swimming pool. The beach club includes a bar that opens directly onto the swim platform, offering easy access to the water.
“This project is the result of bold design ambition and robust engineering,” said Lee Archer, Programme Director at Lateral. “Thanks to close collaboration with Oceanco and all design partners, Y726 proves how engineering can support world-class design. It also shows how teamwork can drive excellence.”
A.J. Anderson, CEO of Wright Maritime Group, also praised the project. “This yacht exemplifies what’s possible when hundreds of people work together toward a shared goal,” he said. “We’re proud to help deliver such a remarkable vessel to her owner.”
Edske Smit, Oceanco’s Project Director, echoed the sentiment. “From the very beginning, this project was built on trust and teamwork,” she said. “Y726 will be a standout addition to the Oceanco fleet. We’re grateful to our co-makers, design partners, and the owner’s team for bringing this vision to life.”
