Turkish shipyard Mengi Yay has revealed the first interior renderings of its 52.6-metre NL 50 PLUS superyacht, currently under construction at its Tuzla facility. The vessel marks the debut model of the Nuvolari Lenard PLUS Capsule Collection.
The NL 50 PLUS represents a collaborative effort between Mengi Yay and renowned Italian design studio Nuvolari Lenard. Combining Mengi Yay’s construction expertise with the designers’ signature sculpted lines, refined proportions and detailed aesthetics, the yacht exemplifies what the yard calls “essential luxury.”
“We are enthusiastic to work with Dan Lenard, Carlo Nuvolari and their talented team,” said Hüseyin Mengi, Chairman of Mengi Yay. “Their input not only brings fresh ideas but also elevates product quality in a tangible way.”
The interior design places emphasis on harmony, natural light, and seamless integration between indoor and outdoor spaces. Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and broad glass panels in the main saloon and dining area invite abundant daylight, which is complemented by warm tones, high-end wood finishes, and custom furniture.
On the upper deck, a secondary saloon leads to a private outdoor lounge. Glass windbreak doors offer protection without compromising the open-air feel, while lighting throughout the yacht is designed to be both atmospheric and architectural, enhancing natural textures and artisanal finishes.
Materials used throughout the vessel include luxurious fabrics, richly veined marble, and precision joinery. Minimalist detailing provides a flexible foundation for owner customisation, creating an environment that is simultaneously modern and timeless.
Accommodation aboard the NL 50 PLUS includes five staterooms for up to 10 guests. The owner’s suite, situated forward on the main deck, spans 50 square metres and features a private office, a walk-in wardrobe, a spa-inspired ensuite bathroom, and a sliding balcony operated directly by the owner. Four VIP guest cabins are located on the lower deck.
Crew quarters can house a team of eight, with service areas designed to support efficient operations during long-range cruising.
Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, the NL 50 PLUS boasts a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 16.5 knots. At cruising speed, she offers a transoceanic range of 4,000 nautical miles.
The NL 50 PLUS is scheduled to be delivered following the completion of her build at the Tuzla yard, further strengthening Mengi Yay’s position in the luxury superyacht market.
