The 39.6-metre tri-deck motor yacht Plan A has officially changed hands, marking a successful transaction with JD Ducanes of Reel Deal Yachts representing the seller and John Varga of Westport Brokerage introducing the buyer.
Delivered in 2007, Plan A was crafted by the renowned US shipyard Westport, constructed in GRP with exterior styling by Gregory C. Marshall and naval architecture by William Garden. The yacht is a part of the shipyard’s 130 model, which underwent an extensive refit in 2014, costing over $4.3 million. The upgrade included a comprehensive redesign of the interior, and further improvements were completed in 2023.
The luxurious interior of Plan A features rich cherry wood panelling and neutral soft furnishings. Accommodating up to 10 guests, the yacht includes five cabins: a master suite with a king-sized bed located on the main deck, and four additional guest cabins on the lower deck, comprising three doubles and one twin, each with en-suite shower facilities.
The open-plan saloon provides a spacious and inviting atmosphere, with comfortable seating, occasional tables, and a full entertainment system. The formal dining area is situated forward of the saloon. For more casual gatherings, the upper deck features a sky lounge, equipped with a large sofa, desk, games table, and entertainment system.
Several outdoor spaces enhance Plan A’s appeal for al fresco dining and relaxation. The shaded aft deck offers built-in seating and a wet bar, while the expansive sundeck is home to seating, tables, sunpads, and a Jacuzzi, perfect for leisure and entertaining.
Powered by twin 2,735hp MTU engines, Plan A reaches a top speed of 22 knots and cruises comfortably at 19 knots. Additionally, the yacht is equipped with at-anchor stabilisers for added comfort during stationary periods.
